In 2011, Hanban officially appointed School District No 43, Coquitlam Confucius Classroom as the official test centre for the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK, Chinese Proficiency Test) in British Columbia, Canada.

What is HSK? 什么是新汉语水平考试 (HSK)？
The new HSK is an international standardized exam that tests and rates Chinese language proficiency. It assesses non-native Chinese speakers’ abilities in using the Chinese language in their daily, academic and professional lives. The new HSK consists of a writing test and a speaking test, which are independent of each other. There are six levels of writing tests (level 1 – 6) and three levels of speaking tests (beginner; intermediate and advanced level). During the speaking test, test takers’ speeches will be recorded.

What Level should I take? 我应该参加哪个级别的考试？
HSK consists of 6 levels and candidate may pick the test level according to their Chinese language proficiency.
HSK考试分为六个等级，一级为最低级，六级为最高级。考生可根据自身的汉语水平选择相对应的考试等级。

How to register the Test? 报名方法
Method 1 - Online registration:
Please go to http://www.chinesetesting.cn and click test registration.
1. Click “Register Now”
2. Create your own account
3. Choose Test Level: Level 1-6
4. Choose Test Centre:
a. Continent: America
b. Country/Region: Canada
c. Test Center: Coquitlam Confucius Classroom
d. Test Date: please select one date
5. Fill in your information
6. Upload your photo
7. Registration Confirmation
8. Pay the testing fee in person or by mail.

Method 2 - Paper registration:
1) Submit the registration form with testing fee (non-refundable) to our office.
2) Submit a copy of ID, e.g. passport, birth certificate
3) Submit 2 current photos (please indicated your legal name and date of birth on the back of the photos)

After Registration 考生须知
Candidates must pick up your “Test Admission Ticket” (A photo ID is required) three days before the test.
“Test Admission Ticket” pick up information:

考生必须在考试前三日来领取准考证（须凭含个人近照的有效身份证件领取）。

On the Test Date 注意事项
1) Candidates should be arrived the test centre at least 30 minutes before the test begin.
考生须于考试开始前30分钟进入考场。
2) Present your “Test Admission Ticket” and sign on the signature sheet.
考生须出示准考证，并进行签到。
3) Bring your pencil and easer. 请带好笔和橡皮。
4) Test regulation: Please click http://www.chinesetesting.cn and go to test regulation.
