Summer Intensive ESL & Cultural Program
Morning-Only Intensive ESL
This half-day program emphasizes practical speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary and writing skills. Students will participate in activities focused on such themes as Canada, the community, the environment and British Columbia. Students are assessed at the beginning of every program. In addition, students will be tested weekly and receive a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION and a Report Card at the end of their program.
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Afternoon Cultural and Athletic Activities
Afternoon activities can be combined with the morning-only ESL program to create a complete well-rounded ESL and Canadian experience.
An opportunity to experience Canadian culture and use newly learned English skills by participating in group activities and by exploring the beautiful outdoors of the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia. The Afternoon Cultural Program includes such activities as swimming, picnics, golfing, tennis, bowling, canoeing, hiking, team sports, crafts and bus trips to popular sightseeing areas like Gastown, Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, Capilano Suspension Bridge, the University of British Columbia, Museum of Anthropology, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
Time: 12:00 noon - 4:30 p.m.
