Schools
Chartered by the government of British Columbia, our schools employ government certified teachers considered to be among the best teachers in the world. We use only BC government Ministry of Education approved curriculum. All of our 70+ schools, many of which are just a few years old, boast modern facilities and technology. Where English is a second language, ESL trained and certified teachers provide support to our international students. Furthermore, the high school graduation certificate, or “Dogwood Diploma”, is recognized by all Canadian and US universities.
Secondary Schools (High Schools)
Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders, Today
Secondary schools serve students in Grades 9 to 12. Our 8 high schools are of the newest and most innovative in the Province of BC offering excellent academic and specialized programs such as Advanced Placement, French Immersion, and the International Baccalaureate Program. Coquitlam’s secondary schools offer a wide variety of courses and options in areas such as team sports, arts, drama and music to our students. These safe schools enjoy a vibrant relationship with the entire community.
Middle Schools
Transition to Global Citizens
With 13 middle schools, serving students from grades 6 to 8, the middle school acts as the transition from elementary to secondary. Middle school provides an environment where students can gradually be prepared for the requirements and demands of secondary school.
